This is a Straits Settlements $1 note issued during the reign of King Edward VII (1901 to 1910). It was dated 1 September 1906 and was printed by the London firm of Thomas De La Rue & Co. Ltd. There are few different types of this $1 Straits Settlements note issued during the reign of King Edward II and King George (1910 to 1936). This particular one that posted below is the earliest type of $1 Straits Settlements note. Comparing to other issuance of $1 Straits Settlement notes, this type of $1 note was printed without figure "1" on the both sides of "One Dollar" of the obverse.
Kelvin Cheung owns this piece of note which he bought it from a banknote fair in Europe. Any one has any idea on the value of this note? One thing to note is that the note is graded low with a few holes internally from excessive folding.
